Health Education Classroom Rules

 

  1. Respect everyone, including yourself, your peers, and the teacher.
  2. Come to class prepared to learn.
  3. When you walk into the classroom, retrieve your materials and find a seat quietly.
  4. Allow others to speak without interrupting them.
  5. If you have a question, ask it! Just make sure to raise your hand.
  6. When class is over, make sure to return your materials and leave your space clean for the next class.
  7. Have fun.

Physical Education Classroom Rules

 

  1. Respect our property and equipment.
  2. Use teamwork and good sportsmanship when participating in activities.
  3. If you are not participating in an activity, please sit or stand in a safe area so that you are not at risk for injury.
  4. You may change into a shirt or more comfortable clothing if you would like.
  5. If you need water or the nurse, just make sure the teacher is aware.
  6. Follow the rules of the game, and keep fair score.
  7. Do not put anyone at risk of harm or injury.
  8. Have fun.

Other

 

  1. Remember that you can’t use the restroom during the first or last ten minutes of class, so don’t bother asking me.
  2. I don’t have a problem with food or beverages being in class so long as it isn’t a distraction or hazard to something we’re doing. So there will be times where food and beverages are okay, and times where it won’t be allowed.
  3. If you ever have ideas for class, share them with me!

The Commandments of Bucketball

The 10 Commandments of Bucket Ball

 

  1. Bucket Ball can be played one-on-one or two-on-two.

 

  1. Games between one player are up to 15 points.

 

  1. Games between teams of 2 are up to 21 points.

 

  1. If the ball touches any part of the bucket, a player scores 1 point.

 

  1. If the ball goes in and out of the bucket, a player scores 2 points.

 

  1. If the ball goes in and stays inside of the bucket, a player scores 3 points.

 

  1. When a player scores 3 points, they get to shoot again.

 

  1. In 1 on 1 play, a score of 9 to 0 results in a shut out.

 

  1. In any Bucket Ball game, winners must “win by two” if the game goes into overtime.

 

  1. The ball must directly contact the bucket to count as a scored shot (No bounces).

 


March Madness: Bucketball 2 on 2 Tournament March 28, 2014
Students will take place in a 2 on 2 tournament on Friday, March 28th, 2014. The sign up for the tournament is at the door to the gymnasium. This is an incentive based program available to physical educaiton students that have exemplified good behavior and practice throughout the year! Awards will be given to the winners!
